And
here's "Our Story" (as told by Keith):
We
first met through work in 2001. We always got along great and we
both considered ourselves friends. Not the kind of friends where
we met and did things away from work, but more just like someone
you know at work who you just "click" with. From the first
time I met her, I liked her. I never gave too much thought of asking
her on a date or anything because of our work relationship... I
just kinda "wrote-off" the idea.
She
left the company in 2002 and ended up moving back home to Germany
for a while. We didn't keep in touch with each other, mainly because
like I said, we weren't really close friends who communicated outside
of work. We shared a common friend, Tony, who would talk to me on
the phone and he kept in touch with Kris. I would ask Tony from
time-to-time how Kris was doing and he would fill me in. Only after
Kris and I got together in 2003 did Tony tell the both of us that
while Kris was in Germany, I would ask him about her and she would
ask him about me but he never said anything to either of us about
it. It seems Kris and I cared about each other, yet neither one
of us really knew it. That is just too cute :)
Kris
returned to the company in 2003. We have communication devices in
the trucks where the drivers can send messages (like email) to the
office and vice-versa. One night she was heading into Fort Worth
and sent a message asking if she could bring me anything, like a
soda, etc... which was so sweet. We started sending messages back
and forth and I dropped my first "hint". From that moment
forward, we both started sharing how we really felt about each other
and it escalated from there.
Since
that night, I can't get enough of her... and the feeling is mutual.
We both stumbled upon a love that is so powerful and pure, like
nothing before it ever was. We kept talking about a grand night
where we would go out for a nice dinner, but because she was traveling
so much and I was working we could just not get the timing together.
We both knew this was so real... there was no questioning it. If
there is such a thing as a "sure thing", this was it.
We
both experienced a total loss of sanity, and while she was still
out on the road, I went and leased a two bedroom townhouse and moved
out of my one bedroom apartment. We were cosigners on a lease and
lived together before we even went out on our first official date!
Neither one of us would've ever imagined doing something so crazy...
but it turns out we were right. Here we are a year later, getting
married and still madly in love. In fact, my love for Kris keeps
growing every day.
